Aztec Restaurant Mural

This mural was a project that I was contracted out for. The restaurant was looking to brighten up their new patio space, that’s where my mural came in. I worked on this piece when I was a senior in high school, not knowing what to expect with it being my first mural. I found a love for painting on bigger scales and different surfaces than what I was used to. Color was a tool that I used most in this piece, to focus on the kind of culture that the owner wanted to highlight throughout the restaurant. I learned how to work with others during this process, allowing me to take in critique on things that I didn’t know needed to be fixed. This mural became one of the sites of my senior pictures.
